Contest Whiz is introducing some unique features for our contest posts. I, the Whiz, will be giving ratings for future contests. This is meant solely as a guide for our readers to decide which contests are more worthwhile for them to enter. The ratings criteria will be based on elements such as ease of entry, attractiveness of prizes, track record of contest holder etc. It will be on a scale of 1 star to 10 stars, with 10 stars being the best.
Ultimately, ratings will be based on my own observations and opinion for each of the criterion to get an overall score. Hence, you are welcome to disagree with me by commenting in the contest posts with your reason(s). Please be fair in your comments and avoid making personal attacks or baseless arguments. I will be omitting such arguments as well as those who are trying to spam me. All other reasonable comments will be published. If I agree with your argument, I may amend the ratings for that contest.
Contests which I like will also be awarded the “Whiz Approved” logo in the post.
The purpose of the ratings is to act as a rough opinion-based guide to help my readers to choose between the many contests in the blogosphere, especially for those with not enough time to participate in all the contests. They are not meant to instruct readers, nor should they be used as definitive measures of whether any contest is good or not. All the contests shown in this blog have passed a certain minimum standard set by myself and are thus worth entering if you have the time. The ratings are thus my personal guide as to which contests I feel I will give higher priority to should I have limited time (and effort).
So get ready to whiz around the contest arena today!
