In recognition of reaching the Top 10 placement in Google for Vacation Rentals and staying proudly there for the last 6 months, ArrangeYourVacation.com is having a fantastic contest at their Travel Blog. The prize is a whopping $500 cash! That’s a sweet prize for the new year!
It’s an international contest which ends on 28th February, 2009.
They wish to introduce more people to the benefits of vacation rentals, especially for family and group travel. They hope that visitors to their website will be able to discover the countless vacation rental options and the space, privacy and value afforded by these types of accommodations.
Here are the rules of the contest:
- An entry requires that you write a blog post on your blog with a reference to the sponsor (Your contest entry should contain a link to ArrangeYourVacation.com) and a couple of sentences about the vacation rentals website ArrangeYourVacation.com, the products or the services. If you own more than one blog, but wish to post on each of your blogs – each post on different blog counts for 1 entry.
- DO NOT copy and past this information into your blog post(s). All posts must be unique and sincere.
- You must mention that this is an entry for the $500 Giveaway at ArrangeYourVacation.com Travel Blog and reference/link to their original contest post.
- Leave a comment in their contest post to inform them of your entries.
- The contest will run from 2nd January, 2009 until 28th February, 2009.
- The winner must have a Paypal Account so that they can transfer the money to them.
- $500 will be transferred on 15th March, 2009.
- The winner will be chosen randomly. Each entry will have a number and a third party (independent person) will select that number (not knowing who the contestant is).
- The blog post or posts must be made between 2nd January, 2009 and 28th February, 2009.

I think if the winner chosen by the number of backlink they get for their post or number of comment on their post, this could be more fair.

We want to introduce more people to the benefits of vacation rentals — especially for family and group travel. So back links are nice to have but not our main goal!
And choosing random winners tends to attract more participants so it may be good for the contest too.
